Yesterday we kicked off SUMMIT 2018 with a presentation from Mike and Dave Wessinger, co-founders of PointClickCare. This was the first time our CEO and COO presented together and the crowd loved the dynamic between them on stage.

State of the Industry
Mike and Dave opened with the topic of the Silver Tsunami and why organizations need to be prepared for the increasingly aging population. While it’s still a few years away, already we’re seeing that the national healthcare spend doesn’t measure up to the increase in demand we’ll see over the next 20 years. The way to close that gap? Technology.
Our plan over the next few years is to provide our customers with technology that helps them survive. And when the demand does arrive, we plan to help them meet the challenge through our ongoing investment in our platform.
Top Three Priorities for PointClickCare
Mike and Dave set the stage for the priorities we’re focused on: Value Programs, investing in the core and innovation, and the PointClickCare Health Cloud.
Our Value Programs ensure everything we do is focused on you achieving your strategic goals. This concept is ahead of the curve because it puts programs in place to deliver a specific outcome.
Lastly, the commitment to improving our core solutions can be seen in the enhancements we recently delivered. We’re always investing in our products, and a great example is our just-released Enhanced Reporting Experience that makes reporting easier and more intuitive than ever. We hear your feedback and will do everything it takes to ensure we’re constantly making improvements.
PointClickCare Health Cloud
To discuss the PointClickCare Health Cloud, Mike and Dave brought out B.J. Boyle, Vice President of Product Management who described why interoperability is so important.
B.J. brought up some fascinating statistics. For example, did you know that 91% of hospitals are collecting data on their SNF partners whether in-network or not? Or that two out of three hospitals are forming preferred partner networks?
PointClickCare wants to help you succeed and to do that, we’ve created a new product that will optimize data exchange and deliver data-driven insights to improve your business. Most importantly, we want to improve the patient journey. We aim to streamlines care transitions to save caregivers time and gives them the insights needed to provide the best care possible to the patient.
